Zvir's Glass. Oles' Zvir, Ukraine

Oles Zvir is an experimental artist, an outstanding artist in the field of glassblowing, a well-known teacher, a public person. Born 1953 in the village of Nova Skvariava of Zhovkva district, Lviv region. He received his professional education at Lviv School of Applied and Decorative Arts named after I. Trush (1973), at Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts at the Department of Glass Art (1981). Head of the Chair of Glass Art of the Lviv National Academy of Arts, associate professor (1997). Works in architectural, monumental-decorative and experimental-studio glass. Oleksandr Zvir is a representative of experimental field of Lviv school of art glass. His works are distinguished by a special, extraordinary stylistics and emotional saturation. By spirit and idea, imagery, internal filling as well as skillfulness his plastic compositions are experienced and thought out, and that is why they are important.
Project 47. Andriy Petrovskyi, Ukraine

Ukrainian artist Andriy Petrovskyi was born in 1968 in Lviv. During 1992-1998 he studied at the Lviv National Academy of Arts. He belongs to those glass artists who perfectly combine their artistic experience with the skills of glassblower. Andriy Petrovskyi is teaching at the glass department of Lviv National Academy of Arts. He was participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine, China, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Poland, Lithuania and other countries.
Andriy Bokotey, Ukraine

Andriy Bokotey was born in 1938 in Brid village on Transcarpatia in the family of greek-catholic priest. Graduated from Lviv Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts (now Lviv National Academy of Arts) in 1965 where he teached till 1969 when had been fired on political motifs. Back to the academic teaching in 1989. 1994 – 1996 vice rector, 2000 – 2015 rector of the Lviv National Academy of Arts. Since 2015 chairman of the Western Regional Scientific and Artiscic Center of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine. Participant of numerous solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine, Belgium, China, Poland, France, Russia, USA, the Netherlands, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Israel and other countries. Chairman of the International Blown Glass Symposiums in Lviv (1989-2016) and founder of Glass Museum in Lviv.
Transparent Truth. Lucyna Gozdek, Poland

Polish artist Lucyna Gozdek designs a Christmas ornaments over the last two decades for its own factory "GMC", situated in Staszow. Every year the production of the company gets high praise and awards at international fair "Christmasworld" in Frankfurt (Germany). Design of Christmas decoration especially delights with its originality and filigree plastics, rich and refined decor, courage and emancipation in the choice of themes. Individual glass installation created by the artist, unlike colorful Christmas designs, is characterized by restraint colorful palette, laconic and sophisticated forms. We welcome you to the Museum of Glass in Lviv, where during the winter months you can enjoy the richness and elegance of festive decorations created by Lucyna Gozdek. The exhibition was organized with the support of the Consulate General of Poland in Lviv in the framework of "Bridge of Culture" project.
Poetry of Glass. Remigijus Kriukas and Indre Stulgaite, Lithuania

Opening of the exhibition of Lithuanian glass artists was held in the framework of the 9 th International Blown Glass Symposium in Lviv. Unusual artworks created by the couple from Lithuania impressed the glass admirers with monumentality, simplicity, perfection of form and cleareness of material. Many of the 36 presented art pieces were made using the high quality optical glass.
After exhibiting in our halls, Glass Museum presented the exhibition at the National Art Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv.
